The Zabrodye village museum is a unique place where antiquities are collected, the memory of the events of the past days is revived and the evidence of the First World War under the open sky is preserved. Guests of the museum can see unforgettable facts of military history, the details of which were carefully hidden under the "Secret" stamp for many decades.
The most beautiful and large exhibit in this unique museum, of course, is the restored Boris and Gleb chapel. There is a small but unusual exhibition devoted to the events of the First World War in the front part of the chapel. Here is a collection of original objects and documents reflecting military everyday life.
The construction of the Boris and Gleb chapel began in 2003 with the artistic installation of Professor Jorg Kirschenmann and the architectural drawing of Boris Tsitovich, the man who was engaged in the construction plan and the work. The Belarusian architect Kaptyug helped him in it.
This chapel was built in the style of wooden housing construction of the XVI century. Originally it was conceived as a chapel for baptism, but changes were made during the construction. Along with the baptism, there are other Orthodox rituals: weddings, Christmas and Easter services, funeral services.
Another highlight of the museum is an extensive collection of retro technology called "Molotov Drive", which was assembled and restored by Danila Tsitovich. It presents the Russian all-wheel drive cars of 1936-1960. The NKVD limousines serve as a reminder of the contradictory times, and the M21 with its salons in florets does not leave women indifferent. Part of the collection is made up of motorcycles and bicycles. Vintage cars narrate about the past times, each of them has its own story, and many of it was used in the movies.
