Exposition «Carriage»

The exposition «Carriage» together with the Archaeological museum «Upper town» and the Museum «Minsk horse-railway» enters in the museum complex on the territory of the former bernardine priory.

The exposition is devoted to history of the cartage of Minsk residents of the provincial period. Authentic main types and types of vehicles of Minskers and also a horse harness are exhibited.

Three main types of the cartage are presented:

• carriage (easy carriage like phaeton, a 4-seater carriage with folding top);
• telezhny (cart, britska);
• polozny (sledge, closed sleighs).

The separate zone of an exposition reflects a history of production of crews in Minsk and the Minsk province, is presented the fragment of a carriage workshop – a master's workplace. From a virtual window of a workshop opens the view in the past – before eyes of the audience is the brisk intersection of streets Zakharyevsky and Peter and Paul (the modern ave. Independence and Engels St.).

Cost

Individual visit: adult - 3 rub, pupils - 1 rub, students - 2 rub.

Excursion service: 7 rub – for group of school students up to 20 people, 10 rub – for group of adults or students from 20 people.

Day of free individual visit is the last Wednesday of month.

Working time

From 11:00 till 19:00.

Entrance for visitors: 11:00 – 18:30
