THE TOUR PROGRAM

THE FIRST DAY LIDA CASTLE

The meeting with a guide in Minsk. BREAKFAST. Moving to Lida. Within the walls of Lida Castle tourists will have an impressive animation "Jagiello Wedding". It tells the story of an official reception in 1422 of couple Vladislav II Jagiello and Sofia Golshanskaya, which marked the beginning of European monarchical Jagiellonian dynasty. Tourists will be able to listen to a folk art groups concert, see the jousting; as well as try on armor (helmet, chain mail, gloves), try medieval weapons (sword, ax, halberd) and play medieval games. You will have an interactive walking tour "Gediminas Castle", a tour around the castle with a visit to the combat gallery. The exhibition "Maisternya Mistra", theatrical performance "Wedding Jagiello," based on real events that took place at Lida Castle in 1422. Medieval interactive games: walking on stilts, try on armor, archery, master-class of swordsmanship,  master class of medieval dance, game "Serso",  game "Ladeina". DINNER. Transfer to Grodno. Settling at the hotel. Free time. Overnight in Grodno. 

THE SECOND DAY: GRODNO

BREAKFAST. City tour to GRODNO. Grodno is the only one city with a status of monument of architecture and urban planning. This is one of the ancient cities in our country. It is located on Zamkovaya Gora, where the Neman river border with Lithuania. Picturesque landscapes and history of numerous human settlements, located near the road to Grodno will give you strong vivid memories. LUNCH. City tour. The wonderful architectural ensembles of different eras and styles play a leading role in its historical and cultural heritage. In Grodno you can find buildings of XII century side by side with buildings of modernism and constructivism of XX century. And besides, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism styles. The most monumental and precious church in Grodno - the Farny Church, which impress you with facade majesty and interior richness. On the streets you will find numerous monasteries, both catholic( Bernardin, Franciscan and Brigitsky) and orthodox(Nativity Convent), aristocracy mansions  and ordinary buildings. During this excursion you will know about Antoni Tyzenhaus and Gorodnitsa. Excursion to Zamkovaya Gora. Here you can find the oldest church in Belarus -  The Kalozha Church, built in the XII century. Royal Gothic castle was built in Grodno during the time of Vytautas at the end of the XVI century. King Stefan Batory rebuilt it into a Renaissance palace, which played a significant role in the state history. Nearby you can see the New Castle (XVIII century.), Dramatic events of the second and third partitions of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Lunch*. Free time. Overnight in Grodno. 

THE THIRD DAY: NOVOGRUDOK - LUBCHA CASTLE - MIR CASTLE

BREAKFAST. Check out of the hotel. Moving to NOVOGRUDOK, city tour. You will see the magnificent ruins of Novogrudok fortress. Close to Zamkovaya Gora - catholic church of the Transfiguration of Jesus, founded by the Grand Duke Vytautas at the end of the fourteenth century; Orthodox, and then the Uniate Church of Sts. Boris and Gleb, which was built in the twelfth century. DINNER. Moving to Lubcha. Visual overlook of LUBCHA CASTLE (under construction). Moving to Mir. Visit of the majestic Mir Castle, built in the early XVI century. A striking architectural appearance of the ancient castle, walls and towers, picturesque courtyard leave a lasting impression, which complements by the museum exhibitions. Near the castle you will see colorful church-tomb of the last titled owner of the castle - Prince Svyatopolk-Mirsky. Visit to the historic part of the village Mir, where for centuries Belarusians, Poles, Jews, Gypsies, Tatars lived ... Depart for Minsk.
