Following the roads of rebels

Minsk - Maloe Mozheikovo - Ischelno - Golovichpolje - Starye i Novye Vasilishki - Peliasa - Nacha - Shavry - Lida - Minsk

Duration: approximately 16 hours

It is dedicated to the memory of heroes of the uprising in 1863 under the leadership of Kalinowski. We will go to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border area, where the one of the most daring rebel forces led by Ludwik Narbut acted.
On the way we will visit some gentry houses. One of them is a homestead of  Romero in the village Maloe Mozheikovo adapted as the office of the local village council. Another two unique homesteads are in the village Golovichpolie. The owner of the village, Stefan Gubarevich, joined the squad of Ludwik Narbut, fought and died in a battle with his legendary commander.
In the village Ischelno a baroque church of the 18th century preserves, where priest Adam Falkowski read his sermons and manifestos of Kalinovski. By order of the Governor-General Muravyov Adam Falkowski was shooted. On the way you can visit the magnificent churches in Starye and Novye Vasilishki and Vaviorka.
We will visit the village Pelesa, the main center of Lithuanian culture in Belarus. Not far from the church of St. Linus is the tomb of rebels of 1863, and also a military burial of  Krajova Army soldiers who died in August 1944 in a battle with troops of NKVD. For Poles this place is a shrine, because here was buried Colonel Matvey Kalenkevich, a commander of Novogrudok districts AK.
In the village Nacha 500 meters from the Lithuanian border you can see the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, the example of the Gothic Revival style. There is a monument to the rebels On the territory of the church and in the local cemetery Theodore Narbut, father of Ludwik Narbut was buried. He is the famous historian, architect, designer of Bobruisk fortress. The farthest point of the route is the village Shavry that near Nacha "raskіdanae gnyazdo" of Narbut. Ludwig died in battle, his father died at a stage, mother, brother and sister were deported, the homestead in Shavry was burned. However, descendants remember the feat of this family, in the cemetery there is a memorial stone.
On the way back we will pass through Lida, where in a city park is the tomb of the priest Adam Fal'kovskii,which was shooted by the king's soldiers in June 24, 1863. A memorial stone is at the place where a rebel died. Also, tourists will be able to travel to see the temples and the city rebuilt the castle Gedymin Prince.. Also, tourists will be able to see the temples of the city and rebuilt castle of Prince Gedymin.

11.00-11.40 - visit to the church of the 18th century in Ischelno.
11.40-12.20 - transfer Ischelno-Golovichpolje (30 km).
12.20-13.30 - visit to the homestead of Ivanovsky.
13.30-13.50 - transfer Golovichpolje- Starye Vasilishki (10 km).
13.50-15.00 - visit to churches in the Starye and Novye Vasilishki.
15.00-15.40 - transfer Vasilishki-Peliasa (40 km).
15.40-16.30 - visit to the church in Peliasa, graves of AK partisans.
16.30-17.00 - transfer Peliasa- Nacha (20 km).
17.00-17.40 - visit to the church in Nacha.
17.40-18.00 - transfer Nacha - Shavry (10 km).
18.00-18.30 - visit to graves of Narbut.
18.30-19.30 - transfer Shavry-Lida (60 kilometers).
19.30-20.30 - sightseeing  in Lida.
20.30-23.00 -  transfer Lida - Minsk (170 km).
